Amit Vartak has been working in Wireless Network Security domain since last 3 years. His current area of interest includes MAC layer vulnerabilities, different wireless protocols and wired and wireless network security.

He has done his BE in Electronics and Telecommunication engineering from University of Mumbai and joined Department of Electrical Engineering in one of the most prestigious universities in India, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) in July 2003 for M.Tech course. There he was working mainly in microelectronics, MEMS and nanotechnology. He has published couple of papers at international conferences like SPIE (Microminiaturized electrophoresis DNA separator using MEMS), ICMAT-2005 (Temporary Supports to Fragile Biomedial MEMS Sensors for Improving Reliability while Transportation).

He joined AirTight Networks Inc. in August 2005 and working there as a Senior Member of Technical Staff. He is currently working on vulnerabilities and counter measures related to IEEE 802.11 (wi-fi) suite of standards.
