Pcap2air is a part of airbase suite of products. As the name suggests, it takes a pcap file as input and relays the file into the air. Pcap2air also provides some easy to use filters like one can change BSSID or source MAC or destination MAC of the IEEE 802.11 packet while relaying the wireless packets onto air.

The prominent use of pcap2air is for accelerating the WEP cracking process. (WEP is the preliminary security mechanism provided by 802.11 wireless standards, which is proven to be broken). While cracking the WEP key, one requires large number of weak IV packets. If there is very less activity in the wireless network, pcap2air will be a very handy tool to boost the traffic.
